A Message from PCAC's President

Photo of Greg ReznickThe Firehouse Arts Center project was born of the collective vision of many, from the Pleasanton Arts Council and the Civic Arts Commission, to downtown business owners, the City Council and many dedicated residents. The Pleasanton Cultural Arts Foundation was formed to make certain this vision becomes a reality and is committing to raising the funds necessary to ensure the successful completion of this project, as well as to support ongoing arts programming in Pleasanton.

The City of Pleasanton has made an extraordinary lead commitment to support the firehouse renovation project, reaffirming its pledge to keeping strong and diverse arts programming available and accessible to its citizens. With an additional commitment to fund ongoing maintenance and manage the center, through its Civic Arts Program, the City has also helped to ensure the new facility's long-term sustainability.

The Board of the Pleasanton Cultural Arts Foundation has pledged to raise the balance of funds needed to complete the project from a diverse range of sources. The Firehouse Arts Center will be a community facility and needs the engagement and ongoing support of all of us to make it a success. That is why we are making a dedicated attempt to reach out to the community, providing opportunities to contribute to the success of the Firehouse Arts Center and making Pleasanton a better place to live. Your support of this campaign will contribute to the development of arts facilities and programs in Pleasanton for current and future generations while enhancing the economic vitality of Pleasanton and the vibrancy of our downtown core.

We also see a great benefit in having resouces set aside to support the arts in perpetuity. Grant making from the Pleasanton Cultural Arts Foundation will provide a constant stream of benefits — small at first, but with enormous potential for growth — that will provide a message that the arts are essential and should be supported by our community always.
