I have always been interested in art. After many years of drawing, I finally took painting classes in high school. Playing with color piqued my interest in art even more. I earned a B.S. degree and teaching credential from California State University East Bay. I taught decorative painting for 25 years, traveling and teaching at conventions all over the country as well as at classes locally. I took five years of drawing and painting classes at Las Positas College and studied with fine local artists. I was introduced to more types of surfaces and painting mediums. I am currently working in watercolor and acrylic.

Through the Pleasanton Art League and the Livermore Art Association, I am painting with a weekly Plein Air group, where I am enjoying painting beautiful views of the valley. I have sold paintings at the Alameda County Fair. I received an Honorable Mention award at the LAA's "Bank On It" show in 2008.
